This Privacy Policy explains how Glowfly (“the App”) handles information when you use the Android or iOS app. It was written from the current game code, not from an old store listing. By using Glowfly, you agree to this policy.

1. Who we are

Glowfly is a casual one-tap endless game from Pixel Nectar. Privacy questions: micah.phillips88@gmail.com.

2. Information we collect

2.1 On your device only

These stay on the phone (Android DataStore or iOS UserDefaults). They are not uploaded unless you later post a score:

Best score
Sound on/off and haptics on/off
Display name you type for the board
Nectar, equipped glow and trail, and which looks you have unlocked
Daily Bloom best for today, yesterday’s Daily Bloom score, and daily streak counters
Simple play stats used for in-game goals (runs, near misses, achievement claims, tutorial seen)
Ad frequency counters (games since last interstitial, nectar-ad uses today)

If you use the device’s own backup (Android backup or iCloud backup), those local settings may be included. Uninstalling the app removes them from that device.

2.2 Online leaderboard (optional)

If you set a nickname and submit a score, we store in Google Firebase Authentication (anonymous) and Cloud Firestore:

An anonymous Firebase user id (no email or password)
The nickname (up to 16 characters) and a normalized copy used to keep names unique
Your score, and a timestamp, on the all-time board and/or today’s Daily Bloom board

Collections used: glowfly_scores, glowfly_daily, and glowfly_names. Other players can see the nickname and score. Android and iOS anonymous ids are separate, so the same person on two devices is two board rows. The game works if you never post a score.

2.3 Advertising (Google AdMob)

The App shows a banner on the menu and game-over screens, an interstitial after some finished runs, and optional rewarded ads (continue, or nectar in the wardrobe). Ads use Google AdMob.

Google and its partners may process device and ad information, such as advertising id, IP address, approximate location from IP, device/app info, and ad interactions. Android requests the advertising-id permission so ads can be personalized when the system allows it. The iOS app does not ask for App Tracking Transparency in this version; ads still fill without it.

2.4 Notifications (Android only)

Android can schedule a local Daily Bloom reminder on this device. That reminder is not sent to our servers. iOS does not currently schedule that reminder. You can turn it off in the Android app or in system notification settings.

2.5 Sharing a score

If you use the in-game share action, the phone’s share sheet opens. We do not receive the people or apps you share with.

Email, password, Sign in with Apple, or Google login in this version
Precise GPS
Contacts, photos, camera, or microphone
Payment card details in the App (the game is free; there is no in-app purchase)
Crash or analytics SDKs (no Firebase Analytics or Crashlytics in this version)

3. How we use information

4. Sharing

We use Google Firebase (anonymous auth + leaderboard) and Google AdMob (ads). We do not sell your personal information as a data broker. Board nicknames and scores are visible to other players by design.

5. Children

Glowfly is for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. The App may show ads. It is not in Apple’s Kids category. Contact us to request removal of a leaderboard entry involving a child.

6. Retention

Device data: until you clear app storage (Android) or delete the app (iOS)
Leaderboard: until you email us to delete the nickname/scores, or we clean up abuse or inactive rows
Ads: per Google’s policies

7. Your choices

Turn off sound or haptics in the App
Skip the leaderboard
Skip rewarded ads and continues
Android: clear app storage, or turn off the Daily Bloom reminder
iOS: delete the app to remove on-device data; Apple’s tracking settings are optional (this build does not prompt for tracking)
Limit ad personalization in Google Ads / device settings
Email us to delete a board nickname. Say whether it was Android or iOS

8. Security & international processing

The App uses HTTPS and Google services. Data may be processed in the United States and other countries under Google’s terms.

9. Changes

We may update this policy and will change the “Last updated” date. Continued use means you accept the updated policy.
